Student-led research,
software, and venture-building.
ORIA is an early-stage, student-led foundation. We help students take an idea past the assignment stage and turn it into research they submit, software they ship, or a project that ends up in front of real users.
Current Initiatives.
Four projects we're working on right now, from a paper under review to platforms still in build.
A system that follows how a lecture is built, from the opening topic through to the key idea, and reconstructs that structure as it happens. In development for classroom pilots.
Student research on causal discovery in systems you can only observe part of. Submitted to ICAI'26.
A planning tool for students juggling semester-long goals, built to keep long-range work from slipping behind the next deadline.
A network, still in development, for connecting the people and projects across ORIA.
How ORIA is structured.
Three stages, roughly in sequence. Research feeds the builds, and the builds feed the networks that grow up around them.
Research
Work we take all the way to a real submission at a conference, workshop, or peer-reviewed venue.
Active Builds
Software students design, build, and put in front of real users.
Emerging Platforms
Longer-term bets: networks and infrastructure meant to grow well beyond a single project.
Current activity.
What's actually live today, across the research, the platforms, and the people behind them.
ORIA exists so a student's best work doesn't have to stop at a grade. With the right support, the same effort becomes a published paper, a product that ships, or a system real people rely on.
Build with ORIA.
Join one of the initiatives, jump into work that's already moving, or bring something of your own to build.
